What we collect

Calculator inputs are processed entirely in your browser and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic — pages visited, approximate location, device type. This data is anonymised and never sold.

Analytics runs under Google Consent Mode, and what happens before you choose depends on where you are:

Either way, the only thing stored after you decline is your choice itself. To change your mind later, clear this site's cookies in your browser and the banner will ask again.

The Take-Home Pay calculator makes one exception: to guess whether to show you US or UK results by default, it sends your IP address to a geolocation lookup (geojs.io) before you type anything. This only returns a country code — it never sees or transmits any number you enter into the calculator, and you can just switch the country selector if it guesses wrong.

Advertising

We do not currently display any advertising on this site, and no advertising or ad-network scripts are loaded. If that changes, this policy and the cookie table below will be updated before any ads appear.

Cookies we use

We use minimal cookies. The table below lists every cookie set on this site:

CookieProviderPurposeRetention
_gaGoogle AnalyticsDistinguishes unique users2 years
_ga_V99C96HE2PGoogle AnalyticsKeeps track of the current visit (session)2 years
cookie_consentBreezyCalc (first-party)Remembers your Accept/Decline choice so we don't ask again1 year

In the EEA, UK and Switzerland the two Google Analytics cookies above are only set if you accept the banner. Elsewhere they are set by default and removed when you decline. After a decline the only cookie stored is cookie_consent, which records that choice. You can also disable cookies entirely in your browser settings.
